Work Injury Compensation


Statutory compensation for employees who suffer injury or death arising out of and in the course of employment, as prescribed under WICA.

Medical & Hospitalisation


Full medical treatment costs for injured workers including A&E, hospitalisation, specialist review, and approved physiotherapy.

Permanent Incapacity


Lump sum compensation calculated on a pro-rated scale for partial permanent disability, or the full WICA schedule amount for total permanent incapacity.

Occupational Disease

All employers of manual workers (regardless of salary) and non-manual workers earning S$2,600/month or less must maintain WICA insurance. Failure to do so is a criminal offence.

Injuries arising out of and in the course of employment — including accidents at the workplace, during work-related travel, and occupational diseases listed in WICA's Fifth Schedule.

For death: S$225,000 (with minimum S$76,000 for workers under 16 or over 65). For total permanent disability: S$289,000. Medical expenses: capped at S$45,000. These limits are periodically reviewed by MOM.

Disputes are referred to the Commissioner for Labour who can assess liability and quantum. TRS supports employers throughout any investigation and can recommend experienced labour law advisors if needed.
